Have my goals been met?

Through taking an "integrating technology in to education" course at Indiana University, I have met my goals that have been stated above. I have been educated on how to choose online and interactive tools based on their potential for success in the classroom using the 4 Es: efficient, effective, engaging, and  enhancing. Through these guidelines, I am now able to assess each digital tool that I come across in order to determine which tool would work the best given my current classroom situation. I am also now familiar with using blogging software and web development in order to inform parents as well as easily have access to lesson plans. In order to meet this goal, I have created multiple websites: one teacher website, one for a lesson plan known as the service learning project, and one e-portfolio. Through my teacher website, I have created a weekly class newsletter that includes photos, messages, and other classroom information. I have also created a classroom website that allows me to communicate with both my students and their parents at the same time. All tabs serve as examples for students while they serve as what is expected for parents. Through my e-portfolio, I have become comfortable with using wix website creator in order to get my projects and professional accomplishments across to future employers. Last but not least, for easy access to lesson plans, I have created a website for my service learning project lesson plan, where I am able to keep all of my resources, such as the rubric, possible sites I could use, and more all in one place. My last goal was to be able to make lesson plans more fun and interactive for my students. Through taking W200, I have found many different educational tools, which I have made examples for and demonstrated in my teacher website and participation in my W200 class, that can assist in making my students' learning more interactive and interesting. I hkave found apps for IPads, programs for desktops, and even websites that allow for student collaboration in class, at home, or on the move. Through taking W200 at Indiana University, I have explored so many different ways to help my students help themselves through technology.
